Description

There is no convenient time to get cancer. Unfortunately, it affects many people in our country. Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women of average risk and 1 in 1000 men. It often shows up in the moments that we face other crises. Lyn-Dee Eldridge shows how a positive attitude, focusing on her health, and showing appreciation for those around her helped her succeed in her fight against breast cancer, while putting out other fires around her.

Lyn-Dee maintained a positive attitude and energy during an extensive workup for her cancer. She participated in many wellness support groups that we have for patients. Her positive energy was contagious as she comforted other patients who were distressed about their diagnosis..

Her joy is infectious. We all need more laughter during times of stress. She showed my colleagues, staff, patients, and I that sometimes just smiling through a rough day and finding the silver lining in a cloud can help keep ones mind clear and focused.  With this mindset, coping and getting through life’s stressors/tests becomes easier.
